Join JVAS President Michael Kensinger and members for a slow saunter around Reservoir Park in Tyrone to explore and identify wild mushrooms, in addition to wildflowers, birds, and other inhabitants. This is a fairly easy hike, with one area where we cross a stream by stepping on stones. We will look for different groups of mushrooms, from gilled mushrooms, polypores, boletes, and coral fungi. Consider bringing a packed lunch and we can snack afterward at a pavilion.
What to bring: Light lunch/snack/drink. Comfortable shoes.
